Nigerian Dwarf Goats
We breed and raise registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. We are members of the ADGA since 2013. We carefully selected our herd by purchasing from quality breeders and selecting goats from bloodlines known for both show and milk quality.
We test annually and our goats are CL, CAE, Johnes and Brucellosis free as of June 2016. Our goats are on pasture and rotated regularly. They have access to great quality hay, free choice minerals and receive grain as a supplement.
We utilize the Famacha method followed by fecal testing to determine the need (if any) for worming. We do annual CDT shots and all of our pregnant does are given a booster 30 days before kidding, along with a selenium boost. All kids are preferably dam raised and are given a preventative Dimethox (Coccidia) treatment and their initial CDT shot. Worming is based on individual goat and new owner preference.
We spend lots of time and give ample attention to our kids so they learn to follow a routine and are very friendly.
Although all of our goats are from registered stock, our goal is to produce and sell quality animals, so not all animals will be sold as registered breeders.
